Ever woke up and thought to yourself, I want to speak Spanish? Because of my dream the night before, I woke up like that. I was chilling in Spain. I tried to order a drink at a bar, and the bartender ended up fighting me! I think I said that he looked like a woman or something.
Anyways, the point was that now I wanted to learn Spanish. How hard is it to learn a new language? First off, the older you are, the harder it is to learn. This is because of the fact that your brain activity is very high when you are young. Children can learn languages like no one's business, because they have very high brain activity. So sorry older people, but learning a new language will be a struggle for you.
So what can I do? There are so many different ways around getting a private tutor or enrolling in classes. Most of these programs are sadly junk. Good luck if you try to learn from an English to Spanish dictionary. And audio lessons are great, if you feel like listening to sounds for hours upon hours with no material to learn upon. I found the best learn at home programs to be ones that combine audio, video and manual learning. This way you can actually remember the lessons. Most of these programs include little review games to help your memory, this definitely helps.
I found an awesome program that is actually pretty decently priced, Rocket Spanish by Mauricio Evlampieff. It's all online based, so you can access it anywhere. The lessons are very easy to follow and feature an actual Spanish native. This way you get proper dialect and current terms, instead of old words that they don't use anymore. Rocket Languages has a broad array of courses including Rocket French by Marie-Claire Riviere and Rocket Italian by Maria DiLorenzi . How about instead of listening to me, you read these Rocket Spanish Review,, Rocket French Review and Rocket Italian Review at ReviewMOZ .Good luck learning how to speak Spanish my friends!
